Nsala soup is made with small pieces of yam with utazi leaves. The soup originates from the Eastern part of Nigeria and Delta State particularly Ogwashi-uku and Ubulu-uku towns.

Steps to make Nsala soup:
  1. Boil dry fish and meat with onion,salt and Maggi till is tender.
  2. Cut yam in cubes,wash and boil till is very soft.pound with mortar or add little water and blend till is smooth.
  3. Boil catfish with onion,salt and Maggi till is done.add crayfish,ogiri and pepper
  4. Allow to boil very well and add the pounded or blended yam paste small small allow to boil till the yam dissolves.
  5. Add the sliced utazi leaf simmer for 10mins.food is ready.

Nsala soup is made with small pieces of yam with utazi leaves. The soup originates from the Eastern part of Nigeria and Delta State particularly Ogwashi-uku and Ubulu-uku towns.
