Stir well. / இறால் பிரை / Prawn Roast / Prawn Fry / Stir Fried Masala Coated Prawns (Kerala Style). Add in curry leaves and green chilli to it and toss well. Now add in the marinated prawns and toss well so that it coats in the oil. It will start to leach out some water, but you keep stirring untill it gets dry and all the masala.

  1. In pan add Ghee. When it's hot add Cinnamon and Bay leaf. Let the fragrance come out.
  2. Add chopped onions and chillies. Saute till onions turn brown.
  3. Add cashews. Saute it. Then add palm fruit and saute.
  4. Add all powders.
  5. Add curry leaves.
  6. Now add prawns and saute it. Then add coconut milk.
  7. Let it cook for 10minutes with lid closed.
  8. After 10 minutes open the lid and serve it hot with rice, appam, idiyappam etc. Yummy dish, try this for sure.

Now add in the marinated prawns and toss well so that it coats in the oil. It will start to leach out some water, but you keep stirring untill it gets dry and all the masala. Heat oil in a deep pan (kadai) and temper the whole garam masala, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and curry leaves. Add the onions and green chillies and fry till it turns golden. Next fry the ginger garlic paste for a minute.
