  2. Make ready 3 tbsp Coconut grated

  5. Get 2 Tamarind (lemon size)
  6. Prepare 3 Green chilli (slit)
  7. Take 9 Dry Red chilli
  8. Prepare 3 tsp Coriander seeds
  9. Get 1 tsp Cumin seeds

Frozen fish fillets also work well in fish curry. My preferred fish species for this curry are cod, Saddletail Snapper and Goldband Snapper. How do you make curry fish with curry powder? This fish curry recipe uses curry powder rather than curry paste.

Instructions to make Fish curry:
  1. Soak Tamarind and take the juice.
  2. Make a paste with coconut, coriander seeds and dry red chilli
  3. Crush peeled onions and cumin seeds.
  4. In a pan add tamarind juice, red chilli paste, crushed onions, green chilli and water. Let it boil for 10 mins. Then bring it to SIM and leave it for 15 mins. Then add fish pieces. Let it be in SIM for 5 more mins.
  5. Take a pan, add gingely oil 3tsp….add mustard seeds, urad Dal and fenugreek. When it pops out, add chopped onions and Curry leaves…. saute. Then add it to the curry… leave it for 5 more mins… and Switch off the stove. Fish curry is ready.

How do you make curry fish with curry powder? This fish curry recipe uses curry powder rather than curry paste. Pour olive oil and garlic into the spice mixture and stir to make a paste. I love using Alaska cod because it's moist and firm with distinctive large flakes and a slightly sweet flavor that compliments the curry very well. You can also use other types of white fish such as Alaska sablefish or flounder.
